Merritt BC Fishing Derby in the Nicola Valley
Coming May 14th, 2022 to Merritt BC Canada is the first fishing derby of the year. The Experience Nicola Valley Merritt BC Fishing Derby, presented by Tourism Nicola Valley, is a chance for you and your family to enjoy “a lake a day” on Peter Hope Lake in the backcountry hills and forests of the Nicola Valley. It is a special day of fishing for prizes, a BBQ, and meeting with friends while enjoying our beautiful outdoors.
– Fishing Derby Registration Fee : $25 –

Special Guest: Wes David, Fishing The Wild West TV Show
Wes David is coming to Merritt British Columbia Canada to film an episode for his popular Fishing The Wild West TV Show. Wes and his crew, will be on our lakes fishing “a lake a day for as long as he stays” and more, from May 10th to 14th. The popular TV Host will be onsite at the fishing derby at 6pm where he will be giving out the derby prizes at Peter Hope Lake. Come and meet Wes David at the Merritt BC Fishing Derby 2022 in the Nicola Valley.
HOW TO GET TO PETER HOPE LAKE
From Merritt BC Canada drive 49 kilometres north on Highway 5A (old Kamloops highway). Continue along the shores of Nicola Lake until you come to the signs for the Peterhope Lake Road on your right. Drive 7.5 kilometres up this gravel road until you come to the recreation site.
